The Budapest threepeater has had one of the best seasons in 2023, the onset of which started in 2019. But while Noah Lyles stacked all these gold medals, he missed out on a meeting with a world-renowned music artist. In fact, a new social media post says that Lyles missed out on this important life event when it returned to his life as well.

Noah Lyles recently made a tweet on X saying, “Travis Scott came to the 2022 World Championships and I couldn’t meet him because I had to run. Today I cancelled going to see him in concert again to prepare for the Olympics. The world can be so cruel sometimes.”

Ranked number 19 by Spotify in terms of monthly listeners, Travis Scott needs no introduction. Nobody would want to miss meeting a great and talented celebrity like Scott for anything. However, Noah Lyles didn’t have any choice in the matter as both his personal and national duties called.

While Noah Lyles expressed his sadness and droopy mood, his fans asked him to cheer up. The comments praised Lyles for respecting his priorities over such a great temptation and said that he could get another chance to meet Scott. Now that Lyles has already decided to train for the Olympics, he’ll look forward to making the most of it. Especially when the upcoming Olympic trials will be held at the same place where Lyles first missed a chance to meet Scott.

Training to become ‘The Highest in the Room’

The track and field Olympic trials will be held at the Hayward Field Stadium in Eugene, Oregon. This is the same venue where Noah Lyles won his 2022 world championship gold in the 200m dash when Travis Scott was in attendance. Now, the Budapest threepeater will train and race for a spot in Paris at the same venue.

While Noah Lyles failed to meet Scott, he still carries a musical imprint on his body from the artist Jaden Smith. Lyles has the word ‘ICON’ tattooed under his left ribcage adjacent to the mighty Olympic rings under his right ribcage.
