He marched one step ahead in becoming the next dominant force on the track when he became the double world champion this year in August. Not only this, he also helped his nation become the 4×100 relay world champion.

Apart from being a champion runner, Lyles has never shied away from talking about things candidly. He has shared his mental health concerns in the past and even shared a post on Twitter about taking medications to heal his mental health. Bjørn Gulden, the CEO of Adidas, shared a post with Noah Lyles on his Instagram. In the picture, Lyles and Gulden are seen standing by a wall that says, “Through sport we have the power to change lives.” Gulden captioned this post as “So true! Sport is soooo important!” while tagging Lyles and Adidas. Noah Lyles has replied to this post with a heartfelt comment: “It changed my life.” 

Indeed, this talented sprinter has transformed his life because of the dedication and love he has for his sport. He is one of the hottest topics in the sports world currently and has garnered the attention of the world after what he has done on track in recent years. Not many people are aware that this American prodigy started his career as a gymnast in his childhood days.

He then transitioned into track and field at the age of 12 and never looked back. If his pedigree is taken into consideration, then he is destined to be the next big thing in the track and field world. Both of his parents, Keisha Caine and Kevin Lyles, were track and field athletes who competed for Seton Hall University. His father was a part of the team that won the 4×400-meter relay heat at the 1995 world championships in Gothenburg, Sweden.

Inspired by his parents, Noah Lyles also embarked on his track journey at Alexandria City High School, and from that moment, there was no turning back. He kept working hard and won many renowned titles, which might be a dream for some runners. His recent performances are a testament to his skills and speak volumes of his talent.

Lyles’ recent track and field performances

In the recently concluded World Athletics Championships, Lyles once again stood atop the podium and created history after he became the double world champion. He became the world champion in 100 meters after clocking a stupendous time of 9.83 seconds, which also became the fastest time this year. He then reappeared for the 200-meter heat and clinched another victory after a 19.52-second finish. Lyles also helped Team United States become the world champion in the 4×100-meter relay event. After a few days’ hiatus, he re-stepped on the track during the Zurich Diamond League on September 31 to compete in the 200-meter event and again won the race after finishing the line in 19.80 seconds.
