Lyles however, went on to say, “She’s very talented and with her own rights. You know, she ran at the Olympics this year in the open 400m, and I’m so proud of her. She’s a survivor, she’s a fighter, she’s savvy.” Apart from these qualities that inspire, he went on to draw a parallel between the upbringing of him and Junelle. “As my mom would say has a bounce-back ability. No matter what happens she’ll be able to get up and come back and you know, those are similar qualities I find myself that I think we relate to,” he added. As this, Olympian love story continues to unfold, it definitely puts forth the facade of an unbreakable bond.

Keisha Lyles, Noah’s mother. After Noah’s parents divorced, Keisha has been his primary support system. He went on to say, “I mean, my mom was the whole reason that I was able to go on this journey of track and field. Of course, you have you. But you could just be thrown in there. But she wanted to make sure that me and my brother had every tool at our disposal and she sacrificed so much to make sure that we would be able to get that.”

Noah’s mom was the bedrock of his athletic journey. She was also the driving force behind Lyles doing pro. “And that of course led us to being able to turn pro. And then eventually, you know, making every and any team that we wanted and desired for,” added Lyles. With Keisha and Junelle by his side, Lyles powers through fearless and fierce. But his strength also comes from, “I know that I have a team in the support system, that no matter what I go out for. I have a safe place to go back to,” Lyles added.
