I truly didn't appreciate Bolt back then. I felt he was too cocky during his races. Why wouldn't he just put his head down and turn in record after record?
Now I know that as much as he enjoyed records and being the best…icons love making people happy even more!🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽— Kalani Pono (@KalaniPonoIII) September 26, 2022
So you didn’t appreciate him because he didn’t break a world record every time he ran? How many races have you watched? Do you understand the jubilation that comes over an athlete who has been training for 2-4 years to finally come out on top?

I've never seen another athlete who does this, before or since. He was one of a kind and I'm so glad we all got to witness an amazing talent. Such a lovely guy.

Never liked him at his peak of his fame. But he always kept it fun. He was like watching a fast kid enjoying running
