Did Gabby Thomas just outwit Donald Trump with her clever response? What do you think?

Serena Williams’ husband, Alexis Ohanian, and Gabby Thomas have chimed in with a humorous take on former President Donald Trump’s recent claims. Well, Donald Trump has been at the center of a heated debate recently, with his comments attracting a lot of online buzz. Some people are urging him to stick to policy discussions, with one netizen noting, “I think President Trump needs to stay focused on his policy,” and another adding, “Keep the debate focused on policy.”

Meanwhile, vice presidential candidate JD Vance has stirred up controversy by repeating a rumor about Haitian migrants in Springfield, Ohio, supposedly eating people’s pets. The local police, however, have dismissed these claims as false.

Rumors about migrants eating pets have spread like wildfire on social media, accompanied by memes and AI-generated images of former President Donald Trump rescuing kittens and dogs in the lead-up to the debate. The bizarre narrative even made its way into the debate itself.

During the discussion, Trump claimed, “They’re eating the dogs, the people that came in, they’re eating the cats. They’re eating the pets of the people that live there, and this is what’s happening in our country, and it’s a shame.” Vice President Harris looked away and chuckled, while moderator David Muir intervened to clarify that there have been no credible reports of pets being harmed by Springfield’s immigrant community.

Despite this, “THEY’RE EATING THE DOGS” quickly became a trending topic on X. In response, Alexis Ohanian, co-founder of Reddit and husband to Serena Williams, offered a humorous take on Trump’s unsubstantiated claims. Ohanian reassured his pet dogs, Maximus, Adora, and Chip, on X, writing, “Gonna hug my dogs extra tonight. No one’s gonna eat you guys.”

He also posted a picture of their rescue dog Adora, affectionately nicknamed ‘Dory,’ looking out a window as if on guard. Ohanian captioned the photo, “She won’t leave the window. Dory is just waiting. Watching. Staying vigilant,” adding a touch of levity to the situation. Gabby Thomas, who’s often been praised by Ohanian, joined in on the fun with a sarcastic twist. She posted on X, “I miss my dog,” poking fun at the situation by jokingly suggesting she might have eaten her own pet. The playful responses from Ohanian and Thomas brought some levity to the heated debate. Now you might be thinking how Ohanian and Gabby are interlinked, right?

The big draw here is the prize money—$60,000 for first place, $25,000 for second, and $10,000 for third, which is way more than what’s usually seen in Diamond League events. Ohanian believes that focusing on the personal stories and rivalries of these athletes will help track and field get the spotlight it deserves.

“A lot of people are saying this right now about women’s soccer. A lot of people are saying this right now about women’s basketball. I really believe people will be saying this about the track in three years, four years. That’s why I’m investing in such a big way today.” With Thomas already making waves, Athlos NYC is shaping up to be a game-changer in sports, showing just how their partnership is growing stronger.
