The Inter-American Pathfinders Camporee began at the Trelawny Multipurpose Stadium on 5th April 2023. The competitors and organizers weren’t aware of Bolt’s supposedly planned visit on the 2nd day of the event. But when he did, the entire stadium lit up. The Jamaican’s electrifying persona was equally contagious among the very young ones.

Usain Bolt took to his Instagram to share an image of him racing alongside a young kid. Bolt was dressed in an all-black outfit, and the kid running left to him was wearing the Jamaican colors on his shirt. They were both smiling like this was the best day of their lives. Also running were a few other kids who were behind them.

The kid in the green-yellow-black shirt looked like he was ahead of Bolt in the moment captured. If that was a deliberate attempt by Bolt to make the day of the young kid memorable, it worked. It wasn’t just them. A crowd of people gathered around the race track and watched them race.

Bolt, whose both parents were members of the Sherwood Content Church in Trelawny, was brought up in the church himself. He was well aware of Pathfinders Club growing up. However, he chose sports as an endeavor. Bolt spent enough time there, ran the 100m race, and overall inspired all the athletes who were there from the 42 competing countries at the event. Just like he once inspired UAE sprinter Hamda Al Hosani. It was truly a moment to cherish.
