The adrenaline is real, as two of the best are going to lock horns on the biggest stage. The duo will be lined up against each other for the 60 m dash, with Lyles appearing in his maiden Indoor World Championships.

Adidas took to its Instagram stories and posted a series of posts, beginning with a childhood picture of him. In another story, there is this video that has flashback snippets of his previous victories at the world championships and national championships. The video ends with “GLASGOW INCOMING NOAH LYLES TOO,” while Lyles can be heard in the background saying, “They said I wasn’t the one, but I thank God that I am.”

In the third and the last post of the story the same childhood picture of Florida based runner is again shared with the caption “YOU GOT THIS” which happens to be Adidas’ tag line as well. Noah Lyles has been extensively supported by his sponsor throughout his journey, with Adidas consistently standing behind this Gainesville native. With everything falling into place, the stars are aligned for tonight’s clash of the titans.

What makes Lyles and Coleman’s rivalry even more interesting is that the two have had toe-to-toe finishes in past competitions, adding an extra layer of excitement to their matchup. The reigning world champion has already received a warm welcome in Glasgow, as evident by the recent social media post from World Athletics.

The champ is here

World Athletics has posted a video on their official Instagram with the caption “@nojo18 is in the house.” In the video, Lyles can be seen in his signature off-court stylish avatar flaunting his “WC” ring. He looks calm and composed in the clip, and looks ready for his big outing. This 60-meter heat is one of the most anticipated face offs of this competition, as Lyles snatched the victory by a mere 0.01 second at the USATF Indoor Championship in the same category.

This will also serve as the tiebreaker, as Coleman outperformed Lyles in the 100-meter event at the USATF. Coleman must be eyeing the opportunity to go past his American rival this time and pose formidable competition for the upcoming events. With the Paris Olympics just around the corner, this is going to be the perfect platform for them to test their preparations.
