Usain Bolt is going through a disastrous time in his life right now. The legendary sprinter has lost almost all his retirement savings that he invested in a firm called Stocks and Security Limited (SSL). The scam has been called one of the biggest in the country and other than Bolt, 30 more people have been put under the bus to date. Although his legal team is continuously pressing the firm to reimburse his money, nothing much has materialized yet.

Yesterday, Bolt made a sentimental statement on social media and posted a tweet that gave a little window to better understand his situational crisis. As uncertainties seemed to take hold of the sprinter, let’s have a look at what Bolt had to say.

The new year hasn’t been a happy one for the eight-time Olympic gold medalist. Usain Bolt’s attorneys verified the numbers to Forbes on Wednesday and revealed that more than $12.7 million has been missing from Bolt’s account. The private investment firm, SSL, is being investigated by Jamaica’s Financial Services Commission (FSC), and one can only hope for things to resolve soon.

Bolt’s attorney has given them a window of ten days

As the fraud which is estimated to be around billions overall was made public, the attorneys of Usain Bolt sent a final ultimatum to the private firm on 16th January 2023. As verified by Loop, the letter contained information about the amount of money Bolt had on 31st October 2022, which was $12 million, and the current amount, which is a meager $12,000.

As an ultimatum, Bolt’s attorneys have given SSL a window of ten days to return the missing amount from Bolt’s investment account. Otherwise, they will be facing strong action from Bolt’s legal team.
