Swimming sensation Michael Phelps needs no formal introduction. Securing 28 Olympic medals over five Olympic events, Phelps has dominated the pool like none other. The swimming GOAT officially retired from competitive swimming in 2016. Since then, he has been devoting himself to an array of activities.

Recently an old reel of Phelps resurfaced wherein he is spotted doing some serious workout. But it’s not just Phelps lifting weights but his bright green shoes that grabbed the attention.

Phelps took every word of the famous proverb “Stepping into shoes,” literally this time. He stepped into Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson’s shoe by sporting a bare body with a fun hairstyle.

Michael’s exceptional physique has a different fanbase. Time and again, the fans get a sneak peek at the “Flying Fish” workout routine. Phelps has worked hard to strike the perfect balance between his diet and workout. Despite having retired from sports, Phelps never skips his gym.

It is not just workout sessions that Phelps emphasizes; he equally stresses the importance of recovery. He described that the easiest way to recover is by taking ice baths. Talking about its importance, he adds, “I think this is one of the best and easiest ways to recover, and it’s so good for your muscles.” The swimmer finds it very relaxing and calls it great “for your muscles.”
