The 25-year-old Olympic swimmer, a refugee, garnered international acclaim. Her journey took a dramatic turn in 2015 when she fled Syria. However, it was far from easy, as she and her sister had to swim for hours on end while fleeing. As the nation prepares to celebrate a special occasion, all eyes will be on the discussion of a holy trifecta of two more formidable athletes, along with this 25-year-old cast iron swimmer. As National Sports Day approaches on February 13th, the World Aquatics Championship which is held in Doha, Qatar is gearing up to host a compelling panel discussion featuring refugee swimmers.

World Aquatic Championships shared a post just one day ago featuring three remarkable swimmers. Among them is Yusra Mardini, a retired Olympic swimmer and refugee, whose inspiring journey has captivated the world. Alaa Maso, another Syrian refugee whose resilience in the face of adversity has earned admiration, is also featured. Additionally, Nada Mohamed Wafa Arakji, a Qatari swimmer, made history as the first woman to represent Qatar in the 50m freestyle at the 2012 Summer Olympics.

In this post, the World Aquatic Championships extended an invitation to join them for an exciting panel discussion. This event promises an intimate opportunity to connect with these three extraordinary athletes. The event will take place at Aqua Market on February 13th from 6:15 pm to 6:45 pm.
