It is believed that an athlete’s focus should be on the sport. But in order to perform well, they need to be prepared with their kits and accessories. There are certain items that should always be in an athlete’s bag. Wherever they go, these must-haves must follow. In an unearthed video, swimmer Katie Ledecky gave a sneak peek into her bag’s contents.

While swimmers thrive in water, they also need to carry some essentials with them. In her video, Katie not only shows her bag’s contents but also explains the purpose behind each item. While she has some basic accessories like towels and masks, her bag also has some whacky items.
Katie Ledecky reveals what’s in her bag
In an old video, the legendary swimmer showed off her shiny gold bag that she took along for her practice. The 7x Olympic gold winner quipped, “I love it because it’s gold and shiny, and who doesn’t love gold and shiny things”. Katie then began revealing her must-haves one by one. First, the usual towels and masks came out. This was natural for a swimmer who would want to wipe themselves dry. Next were the swim cap and goggles – bare essentials for a swimmer.

Then Katie brought out her headphones. She mentioned that she loved listening to music, especially classic rock. One of the unique items she pulled out of her bag was a bottle of chocolate milk. The star mentioned how she drank chocolate milk after her practice sessions to regain energy.

Other items in her bag included her old wallet and some chewing gum. In a heartwarming end to the video, she mentioned how she would love to carry her medals along. People loved to see her medals and the star enjoyed showing them off.

This video gave us an insight into what an athlete would consider their bare essentials. While for some it’s strictly items pertaining to their sport. But for others, it could be branching out to some unique essentials.
