According to Olympics.com, Jack Alexy was born on January 19, 2003, to parents Matthew and Lynn. Jack has three siblings: Kate, Max, and Rob. Interestingly enough, Rob is also a member of the California Golden Bears. Matthew Alexy has been a director of corporate risk solutions since 2009, while Lynn Alexy was a basketball player at Notre Dame. Lynn’s father was also an athlete with a remarkable collegiate career.

Jack once recalled his aspiration taking shape when he saw top swimmers like Missy Franklin and Nathan Adrain break records. After almost 12 years since the episode, here he is, standing on either side of the pool, eager to make another record of his own! Kate, Max, Jack, and Rob Alexy all got their start in swimming at Somerset Hills YMCA in Basking Ridge, moving up from ‘Mom and Tot’ classes to levels like tadpoles and minnows.

During the summer, Alexy and his siblings practiced at the Bernardsville Municipal Pool. Matthew Alexy, their father, remembered taking his children to the pool to swim. Kate and Max, being the eldest, received permission to enter the pool, while Jack and Rob had to undergo a swimming test. Matt Alexy recalled the whole episode as the little boys jumping in the pool, swimming, flipping, and coming back to the lifeguard, asking him, “Is that OK?”
