After being nominated for the USA Olympic swimming team’s coach role, Anthony Nesty spoke highly of the swimming culture. He mentioned that the gelling-together mentality has helped the players and coaches to attain high performance. However, he didn’t spill much beans on the possibility of the USA swimming in next year’s big event. But Nesty mentioned that the team hasn’t reached that expected level. However, this may sound disheartening to the USA Swimming for several reasons. 

Recently, a media personality took a dip into the outpourings from the USA Swimming coaches. The weaved meaning of those outpourings administered to a different prospect for the honored organization. 

Darker alleys than sweet spots for swimming fans

Braden Keith jotted down certain points from the arguments gathered from the coaches of the USA Swimming. In the outcomes, the EIC of SwimSwam news mainly mentioned USA Swimming’s recent deeds to flout revenue generation in the wake of the Olympics. “USA Swimming is telling clubs that the Olympics will also fix their local situations, and that clubs should be patient and consider raising their rates, ” he added in his support in the X post. Similarly, Branden also claimed about the authority’s hard try to hike the membership numbers. But as per him, that seemed to be falling flat. 

However, in the next part, the correspondent spelled out the actual obligation that USA Swimming is trying to convey through its recommendations. “It’s all about charging more to the captive audience to make revenue go up as interest goes down”, Braden Keith chimed. Meanwhile, that couldn’t warm up the recovery chances. Braden brought more precursors this time to predict the obviousness.

Less sustainability despite more profit 

As per the schedule, USA Swimming will have an opportunity to generate significant revenue in the 2024 US National Trials in Indianapolis. Following the impressive performance of USA swimmers in the Fukuoka World Championship and the US Open Swimming Championship this year, the event is expected to draw considerable attention from enthusiasts. However, according to Braden, the event may not attract an enormous audience due to the high ticket prices, though it is projected to contribute substantially to the revenue.

Similarly, the authority might earn significantly from the 2028 Olympics, being the official venue for the event. Reportedly, Los Angeles secured the hosting rights for the 2028 Summer Olympics and the 2026 Pan Pacific Swimming Championships. According to the SwimSwam EIC, events of this magnitude could generate the required revenue for the authority. However, steps like increasing the ticket prices might pose a risk to long-term sustainability.
