The 2023 US Open Swimming Championship has mesmerized the swimming realm with consecutive brilliant performances. Kate Douglass carried the torch for the American team on Day 2, winning two consecutive golds. However, to everyone’s surprise, legendary swimmer Katie Ledecky could not carry the momentum for the team. Nevertheless, the Greensboro Aquatic Center was ablaze with excitement as swimming records tumbled one after another.

Siobhan Haughey received a standing ovation twice in a single day. The swimmer from Hong Kong followed her win in the 200 m freestyle with another in the 100 m breaststroke. Although her swim at the latter event was just as incredible, all anyone is talking about is her record-breaking performance in the 200 m freestyle.
