The TYR Pro Swim Series produced impeccable races that bore testament to the athletic prowess of the U.S. swimmers. The last day of the Knoxville occasion kicked off with resplendent performances from Gators teammates Katie Ledecky and Bobby Finke. In the women’s 800m race, Ledecky sailed to the finish line, chased down by a fellow U.S. national team member.

Paige Madden and Jillian Cox were engaged in a neck-and-neck battle for the 2nd position. Madden used her knowledge and experience in the Knoxville pool as a competitive advantage, ultimately out-touching Cox to secure the silver medal. Now, as the 2020 Olympic silver medalist paves her way towards the coveted Paris Olympics 2024, she finds herself swept by waves of nostalgia, reflecting on a momentous occasion that unfolded 12 years ago.

Crazy to think about! 13 year old me would’ve thought I was the coolest (I’m still lame)”. U.S.A. Swimming took up from there and shared the snap on X to goad others into similar reflections.

The post read, “This #TYRProSeries was a heartwarming moment for Olympian Paige Madden. Wonder which future swimming stars got their first Trials cut this past weekend”.
