On Tuesday, World Aquatics unveiled the logo for the World Aquatics World Swimming Championships 2024, as per the information on their official website. The logo was revealed through an enthralling drone show in Budapest. The revelation took place after the 2023 Swimmers of the Year awards ceremony in the Duna Arena. The 2024 championships will be hosted in Budapest, Hungary, and it will be the 17th edition of the meet. The event will garner some of the best swimmers, especially those who have been exceptional throughout the 2023 season.

Talking about the logo, David Szanto, the Head of International Competition Management and Communications, stated, “We wanted a logo that evoked both the past and the future, that connects you, that connects Hungary with the world. We wanted to choose a landmark that symbolizes all of this.” The championship will be yet another significant competition for the swimmers after they are done with the 2024 Paris Olympics. Fans might be contemplating the logo’s meaning and symbolism.

What it depicts

The World Aquatics World Swimming Championships 2024 logo portrays an ancient suspension bridge that links the city’s Buda and Pest regions. It extends across the Danube River and is called the Chain Bridge. By hosting the championship, Budapest will achieve the rare feat of becoming the first city to host the World Aquatics Championships, World Aquatics World Swimming Championships, World Aquatics Junior Championships, and the World Aquatics Swimming World Cup.
