The swimming GOAT recently extended her 13-year dominance by a whopping 14-second victory at the US Open. This, however, was just one of her big victories. A social media post recently threw light on a crazy achievement Katie Ledecky has carved out of her career. In fact, as the cheers erupted for Ledecky, the Baltimore Bullet, Michael Phelps, also joined the chorus of encomium.

Katie Ledecky garnered a hoard full of golden numbers

ESPN’s Sports Center recently added a post to its Instagram page displaying Katie Ledecky’s commendable feat. The post carried an image showing the best times achieved by swimmers in the 800m freestyle category. Shockingly, all the entries in the list flashed just one name: Katie Ledecky. The image also carried an in-caption saying, “Still the craziest sports graphic I’ve ever seen.” 

These words were said by popular online video creator TerranovaNoah, whose words in the post’s caption said, “Katie Ledecky is in a league of her own.” The 800m freestyle chart had a total of 23 entries, all belonging to the 26-year-old. Katie Ledecky has a total of seven Olympic gold medals and doesn’t just dominate the waters in the 800m category, but also owns the 1500m course.

Moreover, she also has 21 World Championship gold medals, which is the highest number of golden glories stacked by a female swimmer globally. This mountainous achievement of Ledecky sent fans into a frenzy in the comments of the posts. Moreover, she also made gold medal-winning Olympic legends admire her excellence, including the Flying Fish Michael Phelps.

Leaving both fans and top Olympians open-mouthed

Reacting to this post, Michael Phelps wrote, “Those are some stats!!” His words also carried the emoji of a goat, which also appeared with a fire emoji in skiing legend Lindsey Vonn’s comment. Complimenting Katie Ledecky further, one of the fans said, “Jordan just has the number 23, KL has 23 all-time world records!” Calling her abilities out-worldly, a fan wrote, “She gotta start competing against sharks this is superhuman.”

One of the fans used a reference from the popular video game Valorant and used a voice line of its fastest game character. They wrote, “She really said “watch this” every time she competed.”  Lastly, one of the Katie Ledecky fans bafflingly wrote, “Here I was just looking at the times thinking she’s not THAT much faster than the next person.
