Michael Phelps, the decorated athlete, is the world’s most successful swimmer. Over a decade of professional swimming career, Phelps achieved heights that, to date, remain unattainable. Taking everyone by surprise, Phelps announced his wedding to long-term fiancé Nicole after wrapping up his iconic Rio Olympics performance. In two private weddings, the power couple eventually said “I do” in front of family and friends. The Phelps family soon grew as they welcomed sons Boomer, Beckett, and Maverick.

Phelps teaching sons the importance of mental health

A strong advocate of mental health, Phelps tries to impart the importance of the same to his young boys. Throwing light on the same, Phelps adds“They talk about their emotions,” Adding further, he says, “It gives me a lot of hope. I just want them to be as prepared as they can be.” Teaching the important lesson of being compassionate, Phelps teaches his son not to hide their emotions.

When asked how his young boys feel comfortable sharing their emotions? Phelps adds how he helps his young kids to open up; he says, “We teach them that daddy or mommy is having a moment, and we need to either give them space or ask if they want a hug.”

Earlier, Mrs. Phelps took to Instagram to inform that Boomer and Beckett, the oldest of their three sons, will now go to school. Posting a happy picture, she captioned, First Day of Kindergarten for Booms and First Day of Pre-K for Becks at the same school 🥰🥺 #theyregrowingup”

Seeing the kids growing up so fast must really be emotional and fun for Michael and Phelps. Fans can hope to get a sneak peek into the life of Phelps as the couple will celebrate their youngest son’s birth, Maverick the, next month.

Growing up, Phelps had an on-and-off relationship with his father. Taking lessons from the past, Phelps makes sure to spend quality time with his kids. A devout family man, Phelps, loves to spend time with his family.

Taking about the small moments he spends with his kids, Phelps senior says that it melts his heart. The loving father speaks adoringly about how he gets excited about the welcome hugs. He also says that those special hugs help him keep grounded. He can not help but add, “I absolutely adore being around them.”
