The Olympics Hall of Fame, Michael Phelps, worked extensively hard to become the greatest swimmer of all time. Phelps and his coach, Bob Bowman, put all efforts into reducing every possible fraction of a second from the ticking clock. Whether it was his diet, his fitness, or his technique, his team ensured that Phelps goes the extra mile to do what he did in his career. However, post-retirement, Phelps remains quite the same by not letting the dust settle on his body.

In his latest Instagram story, Phelps was seen executing an old unconventional workout, which he added back to his routine again. Too self-critical about his physique, Phelps called it “rusty.” Do you agree? Read on to know more!

Michael Phelps remembers his old days when he shares his current video

Core strength and stamina are two of the most important characteristics of a swimmer. As a legendary swimmer, Michael Phelps excelled at them. Phelps did numerous unconventional workouts to attain a strong core and a robust degree of stamina in his career. In fact, half a decade after his retirement, Phelps continues to train hard. In his latest Instagram story, Phelps shareds a workout video where he was seen doing a core strengthening exercise that he used to do before. Phelps wrote, “A little rusty…. Happy it’s back in the mix tho 💪🏼💪🏼”

In addition, Phelps also shared a throwback video where he was learning the same exercise with his trainer/coach, Keenan Robinson. While sharing the post, Phelps acknowledged that he will be adding this workout to his routine again, and later, as promised, he posted the story where we can see him doing the same.

While sharing the workout video, Phelps mentioned “missing the silliness” they surrounded in the moods of the people in the weight room. Phelps was talking about the background music as the other boys seemed to dance and enjoy themselves. Similarly, as Phelps said, even the fans couldn’t help but divert their focus from Phelps to them. In the comment section, the fans asked some questions, whereas some just loved the fun atmosphere in the gym.
