As a matter of fact, Budapest clinched the right to host the tournament way back in 2017. This was when they were granted permission to organize the 17th edition of the prestigious event by the World Aquatics unanimously with the General Congress. Soon after Budapest was declared as the host, the President of World Aquatics heaped praises on the choice of venue.

World Aquatics Head confident about Budapest

Speaking about their decision to vest Budapest with the responsibility of organizing the event, President Husain Al-Musallam seemed pretty excited. He said, We are extremely fortunate to have Budapest, sharing our passion for aquatics with an audience that fills Duna Arena to witness our stars in action. Athletes, teams, and fans have already expressed their enthusiasm for today’s announcement.”
