According to Cox, the predatory animal appeared abruptly in the water. Nonetheless, she thinks that the fish was not there to harm people, but just to feed. Cox seems to have a very friendly attitude towards the incident, as she considers it to be a natural phenomenon. In an interview with the Pensacola News Journal, Cox stated, “It all happened so fast that a dolphin was actually side by side with the shark at first and then disappeared further. The shark was trying to feed as they are expected and just passed by swimmers. Everyone was stunned as it moved down the beach, chasing the school of fish. We all just have to remember this is all natural and we are in their homes, so stay alert,” as she recalls the incident.
After the video went viral on the internet, the beach security department confirmed the shark’s presence on the shores of Navarre. However, the security department also wants people to understand that sharks do not frequently hurt beachgoers.

Security Department confirm the presence of a shark
Austin Turnbill, the beach security director of Florida, confirmed that the fish swimming in the water was indeed a shark while also stating that there is no reason to be alarmed as sharks are present everywhere in the Gulf region. Turnbill then also urged people to understand that they shouldn’t be afraid of the sharks, as this is their home, and 99.9% of the time sharks are not harmful.

According to Turnbill sharks, are only aggressive while chasing a big fish. Usually, the sharks are calm and mind their own business at the beach. Fortunately, no one was hurt on the beach last week. But beachgoers should exercise caution near this sea as the Florida beach is a haven for sharks. And sharks are still predators whose next moves can never be fully predicted.
