One of the greatest atheletes of Swimming,?Michael Phelps’, childhood friend Allison Schmitt received the 2023 SEC Women’s Legends tribute. Even at the age of 32, Schmitt is proving that she could make to her fourth Olympic. Moreover, she has acquired 10 Olympic medals in all editions of the Summer Games. Recently, Bob Bowman, a common coach of hers and Phelps, praised her on social media for her new accomplishment. Even, Phelps’ family congratulated her for getting the honor.

In addition, she is also a University of Georgia’s swimming alumnus, like the “flying fish”. While the world was applauding, her friends, family, and loved ones also complimented her.

Besides being one of the most praised swimmers, Schmitt is indeed a family friend of Phelps. Recently, coach Bob Bowman took to his Instagram to talk about her success and posted a picture of her. He captioned it with, “So proud of?@arschmitty!! Kindest, most humble and hardest working person around! She tells jokes too! Way to go TeeTee!! @jack.bauerle“. This indeed proves the love and support she gets from her trainers. Even Phelps’ mother commented on the post and wrote, “Congratulations?@arschmitty ??”.

Most enthusiasts of the sport are well aware of the friendship of Phelps and Schmitt. Knowing each other since their high school days, Schmitt has always got guidance from him. She even lived with his family, i.e. him, his wife, and his kid, for a long time.

Phelps even went on to talk about his assessment of her and that she had always got his back and contributed to his success. Furthermore, he added, “I’ve seen her at her absolute best and I’ve seen her at her absolute worst”. He even, confirmed how he has always been there when she needed a second opinion.

Growing with Phelps is the best experience for Schmitt. She even admits to his contribution when she was getting ready for the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Ever since she met him they were inseparable and definitely, and his wisdom and guidance helped her reach the top every time.
