The sea can surprise anyone at any time. Whether it is its lethal waves or the gigantic creatures found in there. If it’s not your day, anyone can have a hard time in it. A 60-year-old man didn’t have a great Sunday when he got into the waters of Hawaii island’s Anaehoomalu Bay. Although we cannot blame his luck, because he was lucky enough to survive a near-fatal shark attack.
The incident happened on 19th March in the afternoon, and the Hawaii county department revealed the whole incident.
Critical save by the crew on the catamaran

Life is all about being in the right place at the right moment. However, the 60-year-old man probably didn’t feel the same on early Sunday afternoon. On a sunny day, the man was swimming 200 yards off the Hawaii island’s shore, enjoying his time, when all of a sudden he got attacked by a shark. The victim was chased and bitten by the shark on his left hand and the back of his left leg.
However, luckily, the man swam and was able to make it to the catamaran, which was fortunately in the right place and right time on that day. As reported by Star Advertiser, the Hawaii County Fire Department officials revealed that the crew on the catamaran helped the man with first-hand treatment as they helped him to stop his bleeding. However, that wasn’t just enough.

Further, the man was transported to the shore with the help of a jet ski. The HFD personnel waited for him for his treatment as the ski took him there. Moreover, as soon as he reached the beach, he was taken swiftly to North Hawaii Hospital for proper treatment.

Sharks are one of the deadliest creatures in the sea. There have been several cases of shark attacks on swimmers, surfers, and many other individuals who went into the sea. Some make it back after living out a life-threatening attack, whereas some aren’t that fortunate. A similar incident happened last year in Del Mar, North of San Diego, which also took place at the same distance from the shore. Fortunately, that 50-year-old swimmer was also lucky enough to survive the lethal shark attack.
