Michael Phelps shared an unforgettable experience
Michael Phelps went on his first trip to China three years before the Beijing Olympics. He went there as a part of his contract with a Hong Kong-based electronics company called ‘Matsunichi’. However, amidst that dry and extremely-hot weather, Phelps had an unforgettable experience with Peter on the Great Wall Of China.
He wrote, “I will also never forget jogging with Peter on the Great Wall. We looked to our left and right and for miles we saw nothing but The Wall.”
The celebration acted as the cherry on the cake
After the breathtaking experience, Phelps and the company celebrated the achievement. They decided to celebrate at McDonald’s. Phelps wrote, “We celebrated afterward by going to McDonald’s and practically buying the place out of burgers.”
He added, “David Schwab was the surprise appetite champ of the meal, downing three Big Macs. I wonder if that was a PR?” Phelps had a great time on that trip, taking some time off the practice sessions and instead having some fun sessions.
