In the long-distance freestyle competitions, Katie Ledecky of the United States displayed her unwavering superiority. She further cemented her reputation as one of the best swimmers of all time with her impressive victories in the 800- and 1500-meter freestyle events. Summer McIntosh of Canada, who is only 16 years old, demonstrated her potential to become a future star with victories in the 200-meter fly and 400-meter individual medley events, as well as her record-breaking swimming.
