Qin Haiyang’s Olympics preparation seemed to be in place after displaying fiery performances last year. In Fukuoka last year, he claimed three breaststroke event golds for the first time in the history of the World Swimming Championship. In the Asian Games as well, the 24-year-old swimmer kept his performance in the front to attain gold medals. So after those glittering, the Olympic year started for Qin Haiyang with an eventless notion till now.
The Chinese Swimming authority had already barred the swimmer from participating in the Doha World Swimming Championship, starting next month. However, few engagements still hooked him with the big names who are already waiting for the same Olympic berth.
The Olympic stars on the list

On January 25, Chinese swimmer Qin Haiyang made a revelation on his latest brand engagement on IG. The concerned post stated, “I am very excited to be the brand ambassador of @tagheuer. This brand stands for excellence, precision and breaking the boundaries, which are beliefs I have always held.” On its website, the Swiss watch company narrated the swimming prowess of the reigning world champion in powerful words. “Dive into the world of a champion who transcends the limits of swimming”, it mentioned. Definitely, it tried to look into all the efforts Qin Haiyang used to usurp the records, not just in Fukuoka, but also in the World Cup Series last year. On that list, Haiyang found some faces to accompany him.

Among those faces, at the forefront, Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone, and Naomi Osaka came along. The 2x Olympic champion, Sydney, is eyeing a comeback in the 2024 Paris Olympics after missing the 2023 WAC because of injury. Moreover, both 400m sprinting and 4x400m relay events claim to be a high medal-earning chance for the USA in the coming days. As per Tag Heuer, she is a fierce racer. For Naomi, the Olympic fate couldn’t come out that well. On the brink of the Tokyo Olympics, the 2X US Open champion had cited mental health issues. But eventually, she had appeared in that Olympics, only to be defeated in the third round. Since then, the 26-year-old tennis player didn’t share the platform. But noticing Naomi’s standout role, the Swiss brand termed her “One of today’s best and most influential tennis players”.

The spearheads for the coming days
In Fukuoka as well, there was another rising swimmer who received the same deal from Tag Heuer. It was Canadian swimmer Summer McIntosh who toppled Olympic medalist Siobhan Haughey to claim bronze in the 200m free event. Moreover, the teenage swimmer already received the fame of defeating the most decorated female Olympic swimmer Katie Ledecky several times. The Edouard Heuer-founded company termed her as “a force to be reckoned with”.

Another youngster also gained a respectful contract from Tag Heuer, and that was 3x World Champion Fred Kerley. Noah Lyles’ perfect competitor in 100m, Kerley, gained the “fastest man in the world” title from Tag Heuer. At the onset of the Olympics, this famed list of athletes seems to be ready.
