Michael Phelps is one of the most influential athletes in the world. The Baltimore Bullet is invited to multiple events as a guest due to such a heavy influence and popularity. Back in 2017, Michael walked the red carpet with his wife, Nicole, at the Big Game Big Give charity event.
Media reporters stormed Phelps at the event. They wanted to get all kinds of answers from him. A reporter asked him his opinion on whether he thinks Tom Brady would win his fifth super bowl title.
To which he replied, “As an athlete, you root to watch athletes do great and remarkable and impressive things that have never been done before. So, you look at Tom having a chance to win his fifth, you gotta root for him.” Phelps found a diplomatic situation to support Tom Brady without overlooking his responsibilities as a brand ambassador for Under Armour.
However, Phelps refused to pick sides when asked which team did he want to see winning. “I’m keeping it more political and rooting for both sides,” he said. Phelps is sponsored by Under Armour so he decided to support the Under Armour family. As there were Under Armour athletes on both teams, he just hoped for a good final match.
