The swimmer was non-other than Katie Ledecky, who mastered the butterfly stroke like Phelps. From time to time, Katie has mentioned Phelps’s name in various interviews. Once, Katie addressed an NBA legend, Stephen Curry, by calling him Phelps while gifting some swimming accessories.

In 2019, Olympic gold medalist, Katie Ledecky, and well-known Warriors supporter, Riley Morrison, sat in Stephen’s back seat in the Lyft. They chit-chatted about lots of things while driving for dinner. Meanwhile, the three of them exchanged dad jokes and swimming advice.
As Ledecky gifted NBA legend Stephen a customized swimming cap along with Riley Morrison, she remarked with Phelps‘ name. While Curry tried the cap Katie gifted him, Katie said, “You are the Michael Phelps.” In addition, Steph was seen pulling out a swimming warm-up style in front of Katie.
Katie’s Michael reference shows how it’s impossible to forget about the legendary swimmer. However, once the most decorated Olympian of all time, Michael, accepted that he was terrified of Katie Ledecky. Phelps said the 24-year-old American superstar swimmer, would have defeated him in 2016, during his commentary at the Tokyo Olympics. Meanwhile, Michael and Stephen have shared one similarity since the beginning.

Similarities between Michael and Stephen’s as per their mothers
Even as a young child, Phelps showed passion and rage for swimming. At the same time, his mother was also aware of his sporting prowess since he joined the swimming club for practice. There was a time when Stephen’s mother talked to Michael’s mother on a show. In the front, the parents of both players spoke about what it was like to raise a child who would go on to dominate their sport in the future.
