With 28 Olympic medals to his name, he is the most decorated Olympian of all time. Michael rose to fame after winning 8 medals at the Athens Olympics in 2004.

In an interview with CBS after the Beijing Olympics, the host questioned him, “There were people in the crowd like Lebron James, Kobe Bryant. Some of the best athletes in the world stood in line to get an opportunity to see you perform. Did you ever look up and say, holy cow, this is really happening?”
