With his swimming skills, Michael Phelps has already earned a place in people’s hearts. However, he again made his fans skip a beat when he made his relationship with Nicole public. Tying the knot after years of dating, the duo is now enjoying their marital bliss.

Michael and Nicole come from two very different backgrounds. While Phelps loves the water, the 2010 Miss California winner loved her office work. But with time, the duo learned how to team up and enjoy the ride together. Raising three young boys is not an easy task. Nonetheless, the couple is mastering the art, and while Nicole played the role easily, Michael found some difficulties.

Michael Phelps could hardly help his wife out

After Beckett was born, Michael and Nicole sat down for an interview with ‘Parents.’ Talking about parenting and raising three young toddlers, the couple revealed how they had got their hands full. Curious about how they manage everything, the interviewer asked, “How was the transition when Beckett was born?”

Nicole was quick to chirp in. She revealed in the 2019 interview, ?“Beckett would not sleep and wanted to nurse 24/7. I tried every sleep method you could imagine. I was ripping my hair out for months!” Though Phelps wanted to help, he could not do so, courtesy: his sleep.

Elaborating further, he added, “It’s?kind of a curse for me, but I don’t wake up to anything. You could send a tornado to our house, and I don’t think I’d wake up. But I’m an early riser.”?Poor Phelps knew he could not help his wife during the night. But he got her covered during the morning, as he would take his other son, Boomer, for a day out.

Michael and Nicole: Their unique love story?

Back in 2007, when Nicole Johnson was assigned to guide Michael at the ESPY Award, she was hardly interested. Having no clue about who he was, she was more interested in escorting Travis Pastrana. However, as destiny would have it, the unexpected meeting changed their life’s course forever.

As they interacted, they realized they had a lot in common. Soon, they were inseparable. As Nicole?said,?“Michael and I just completely hit it off.”?Soon after, they began dating, and right away, they were the talk of the town. Through thick and thin, they stayed strong. On June 13, 2016, the couple got married.
