In the sporting realm, there are many athletes who tried their luck in the dazzling world of cinema and achieved great heights. From skateboarding legend, Tony Hawk to surfing demigod, Laird Hamilton, every athlete has a close-knit relationship with the Hollywood entertainment industry. Likewise, the 12x Olympic medalist, Ryan Lochte is no exception. Along with his metier of swimming, Lochte also likes to pursue his interest in acting. And now, he is all set for the premiere of his upcoming thriller television series.?

Recently, the Olympian shared a glimpse of his upcoming series through his social media handle. And, gained widespread applause in return for his protagonist persona.?

Ryan Lochte?s Traitors’ appearance

In his latest Instagram post, the 38-year-old shared the trailer of his mystery thriller project, ‘The Traitors’. As per the preview, there are 20 protagonists in the series, and all of them are either reality stars or civilians. Moreover, the episodes are going to premiere on Peacock TV on 12th January 2023.

Interestingly, The Traitors competition series is filmed against the backdrop of Scottish highlands. And, each of the star celebrities has to pass a challenge in order to win the ?quarter of the million dollars?.?

Moreover, Ryan even shared a series of his stills from the film. And, captioning the post, the Olympian penned, ?Grab your popcorn and a comfy seat and get ready to binge watch #TheTraitorsUS on @PeakockTV January 12th?. To cause a stir among his fans, he further added, ?It?s going to be epic!?.

Lochte?s cinematic appearances

Peacock TV?s upcoming thriller series isn?t the first cinematic project for Ryan. Besides ‘The Traitors’, Lochte also appeared in several cameo roles in the 2012 season of Saturday Night Live. In 2013, the swimmer acted protagonist for the reality TV show, What would Ryan Lochte do? and got nominated for Teen Choice Awards. In 2017, he played the supporting role in Little Something for your birthday.

Interestingly, Ryan also made appearances in Celebrity Family Feud and Back in the Game with Alex Rodriguez.
