Katie Grimes' sponsorship by Nevada State Bank—Is this the boost she needs to dominate swimming?

A powerhouse of talent, 18-year-old Katie Grimes is set to make her 2nd Olympic appearance in 8 days, showing age is no barrier. Aided by her incredible skills and brimming passion, she sealed this spot for herself across 3 sports divisions: 400m IM, 1500m freestyle, and the 10km open water race. But making it to such an esteemed podium requires much more than just a flair for swimming. Specifically, it necessitates a strong financial backing.

Well, it’s no secret that athletes vie for dependable sponsors, possibly as determinedly as athletic accolades. As for a talented swimmer, she has landed a full-service bank to sponsor her. Eager to know which one. Let’s just say she did not go out looking far beyond her home state.

Which state will not take pride in their athlete gracing top-tier international stages? Indeed, Nevada is no exception. Las Vegas native Katie Grimes has signed with the Nevada State Bank (NSB), for the 2024 Paris Olympics. With their campaign, ‘Go Grimes Go,‘ the rising champion’s new financial partner is now not just rooting for her victory but in a way, paving the way to it.

Well, it seems Grimes was NSB’s premium choice. “I can’t think of anyone who represents our brand – our focus on our community, relationship, and the values we all try to live every day with our clients and amongst each other, like Katie and her family do,” stated the bank’s CEO, Terry Shirey.

Apparently, multiple athletes contacted NSB. But they wanted someone who seemed an ‘authentic fit’ for their long-standing partnership. Grimes was introduced to them by CG Sports at this point, and they facilitated the sponsorship.

It must not have taken long for the board to decide on Grimes’s onboarding. Why so? Her commitment to the sport and her achievements are a class apart. NSB has documented 4 ‘Meet Katie’ YouTube episodes, tracing her outstanding efficiency in the sport. After her Tokyo debut, at the age of 15, and becoming Team USA’s youngest phenom that year, Grimes later became the first American who qualified for the impending 2024 Paris Olympics, who is at the height of her powers.

And who can ever forget her bronze-winning marvel at the 2023 Fukuoka World Championships? It also won her the Female Race of the Year prize at the 2023 Golden Goggle Awards.

But besides NSB, Grimes seems to have a few other brand endorsements to her name. One of them is ‘Desert Plunge a health and wellness brand that provides cold therapy tubs. Another one is ‘Travel and Leisure. Co,’ Grimes’ official travel and hospitality partner. Up next is ‘Powerade,’ whose energy drinks Grimes often sips on as she poses for the brand. Similarly, ‘P2Life Nutrition’, ‘Roll Recovery,’ and Omega’ are other banners that Grimes has joined hands with.

Taking into account all of these endorsements, it is estimated that her net worth is $1 million. But, as for NSB, Grimes seems all in for this prestigious collaboration, which remains very close to her.

In fact, her mother Shari once affirmed, “All my children bank with NSB. They all opened their first account when they started college and have stayed with the bank.”

Yet, when Katie Grimes took control of her finances, she enjoyed how NSB provided flawless services. She said, “I really appreciate the one-on-one service I receive at Nevada State Bank.” Moreover, be it her professional or financial goals, NSB keeps tabs on everything and never fails to congratulate her.
