According to a report published in Associated Press, to overcome the financial strain caused by the dispute, Diego Balleza made a bold decision, and created a platform, ‘OnlyFans’, which allows creators to share exclusive content with subscribers in exchange for a monthly or quarterly fee. He saw this as an opportunity and started posting content on the platform. On this, Balleza stated “You can upload whatever you want in there, it’s a valid content,” .

He then talked about his financial status and mentioned “It occurred to me to open it because you are always looking for a way to make income. I support my house and my mother, and I have bills to pay.” Balleza appreciated the love and support of fans and added “I am happy that the people who are in my page have been very good and respectful, I hope they continue like this.”

He charges $15 monthly and $40.50 quarterly for his OnlyFans content, acknowledging the fluctuating nature of this income source. Additionally, Balleza receives assistance from the Nuevo Leon government and undisclosed private sectors, which further aid him on his Olympic journey. He’s not the only athlete who has been affected by this decision; there are numerous others who have to find other ways to fund themselves. He will compete in the world championships next month in Japan to secure a spot in Paris Olympics and for that he is training hard to make it big in the upcoming championships.

Todorov’s suspension was initiated due to the federation’s failure to comply with good governing standards. Despite court orders, Guevara refused to recognize the commission appointed by World Aquatics, leaving Balleza and his peers without any financial allowances. Due to this clash Balleza was compelled to open an OnlyFans account to fund his Olympic aspirations. While Diego Balleza turned to OnlyFans as a means to support his Olympic dreams, his fellow diver Kevin Berlin also found himself facing financial hardships due to the ongoing dispute.
