But there is one woman, Sarah Thomas, whose achievements have even caught Phelps’ attention. She is making one record after the other the fans are left to wonder if Phelps can “make it.”

Everyone got to talking when Sarah put forward 54 hours of continuous swimming! The ultramarathon swimmer has several swimming titles to her name. Having fought cancer with an iron fist, the swimmer jumped back in the water to create another history.
As Sarah braved to the shore, Phelps fans could not help but wonder- can he do it? Asking the question, rapper Young Thug Twitter enquired, “could swim 100 miles from the middle of the ocean back to shore – @MichaelPhelps.”

Responding positively, Phelps tweeted back, saying, “Yeah. I think I could make it.”

Following Phelps’ response, there were a lot of opinions. While some said he could, others had their share of doubt. Steeping in to put all queries to rest, Sarah made a witty reply. All in good humor, she said, “No disrespect @MichaelPhelps, but from one GOAT to another, I don’t think you got it.”

Substantiating her point, the ultra-marathon swimmer shared her list of records. She now holds the world record for the longest continuous swim.
Sarah rose to fame when she crossed the English Channel. She is also the first person to swim in a current-neutral swim for over 100 miles and complete four consecutive crossings of the English Channel.

The young boy from Baltimore rose to fame when he became the youngest world record holder at 15. He completed the 200-meter butterfly in just 1 min 54.92 seconds. His popularity grew further when he became the first athlete to win eight gold medals at a single Olympics.
Slowly but steadily, he went on to register multiple world records that, to date, remain unbroken. In a swimming career that ran over five Olympics, Phelps went on to earn 28 Olympic medals, the highest.
