The University of Pennsylvania swimmer Lia Thomas made waves at the Ivy League championships held at Harvard University last week. And she proved how three of her races contributed to a team relay victory. Thomas, 22, has been a focal point in the contentious national conversation surrounding transgender athletes’ participation in collegiate sports.
