During an interview with Graham Bensinger on YouTube, Dressel and his wife revealed the tidbits of their love story. In a particular segment, Bensinger asks the Green Cove Springs native how he proposed to Meghan, to which he replies that he went to this meeting place in his high school called “Chance Pier,” and his sister Caitlyn, who was a photographer, set the perfect place and moment for him.

Dressel quotes, “Caitlyn was like, okay, I’m gonna tell Meghan, and we’re going to do a photoshoot like we’re in town for Thanksgiving.” Then his sister asked Meghan to do a photoshoot, and he popped the question when “the timing and lightning were perfect.” Meghan recalled feeling surprised, despite being an intuitive person, when Caeleb got down on his knee.

The couple first met each other during swimming meets during high school in Florida, and she also said that she had a crush on him. Meghan herself was a great swimmer, as mentioned earlier, and she also holds a master’s degree, which later became a reason to switch careers.

More about the swimmer’s beloved partner

Meghan used to swim for Florida State University in Tallahassee until her second year of college. However, she stopped competing professionally to pursue her lifelong dream of becoming a child-family counselor. She then got her master’s degree in marriage and family therapy from the aforementioned institution.
