The 38-year-old has been associated with the brand Master Spas since he partnered with them in the year 2010. The partnership began with the launch of the industry-leading Michael Phelps Signature Swim Spas. Now, the brand has announced the launch of Michael Phelps Chilly GOAT Cold Tubs, a new revolutionary design in the Phelps and Master Spas collaboration. Master Spas claims to be the biggest swim spa manufacturer in the world.

While announcing the release of the new line, Chilly GOAT Tubs wrote on their Instagram, “Bringing together three decades of spa manufacturing experience and input from 23-time Gold Medalist Michael Phelps, Master Spas is revolutionizing the cold tub experience with Michael Phelps Chilly GOAT Cold Tubs by Master Spas.” Initially, the Signature Swim Spas were designed to provide Phelps with an alternative to swimming pools to help with his training. Now, the Chilly GOAT Cold Tubs aim to provide a therapeutic experience to the users. When the most decorated Olympian was competing professionally, he would regularly use cold water therapy as a recovery tool.

Now, he has brought his expertise into thin line as well. His mission was to create a spa that has the optimum shape and size. In a press release shared by Master Spas, the legendary swimmer said, “In working with the team at Master Spas, it was important to me that we design a tub that allows for full submersion to help maximize the benefits of cold-water therapy…” Hence, under the tutelage of this swimming expert, the new line was born. A natural step, considering that Phelps has always strived to take swimming to new and better heights.

Reaching new heights

Cold therapy has always aided Phelps in his career. He has relied on ice baths and cold showers to recuperate after intense training sessions. Even in his retirement, Phelps has resorted to cold therapy not only for physical recovery but for mental well-being as well. Michael Phelps’s undying commitment to physical and mental health, as well as the sport in general, is what has driven this prominent brand to team up with him. His commitment to swimming prompted him to open his Foundation to ensure that the sport is reaching children all across the globe.

For his work with the Special Olympics, Phelps was named the Global Ambassador in the year 2011. His Foundation’s swimming program, IM, was designated as Special Olympics’ Official Swimming Program. Young Athletesim and other programs were also created after IM, to take swimming to new heights and make it more accessible. His work for the sport has earned him many accolades, such as the Boys & Girls Clubs of America Champion of Youth, and Laureus’s Excellence in Achievement. It’s this vigor, coupled with his undying love for swimming, that has helped Michael Phelps become a household name.
