Day 2 of the TYR Pro Swim Series 2024 has commenced and is raging in full force. The day started with Kate Douglass taking the podium finish in 100m freestyle. Interestingly, as the Women’s 100m breaststroke event unfolded, Lilly King clinched the first position and gracefully dominated the pool.

Attaining the advantage of her home turf at Knoxville, King stood atop the podium leaving Douglass at the 4th position. She cruised towards the finish line by clocking a time of 1:05.67.

The TYR Pro swim series started on the 10th of January 2024 and it has already witnessed some of the best performances on day 1. However, day 2 of the event also brought in some of the stupendous performances. Along similar lines, as the 100m breaststroke unfolded, the event concluded with Lilly King powering to victory. The 26-year-old American swimmer has her specializes in breaststroke and it didn’t go unnoticed in this event. 

She swam towards the final wall like a bullet through water and touched it in a time of 1:05.67. She left behind the Irish swimmer, Mona McSharry, who clocked a time of 1:06.23. Securing the third position in this exciting race was the American swimmer, Lydia Jacoby.

Lilly King has always been untouchable in the 100m breaststroke. She has never failed to prove her dominance in this event with her stellar deliveries in this category. King has stood atop the podium multiple times making sure to prove her prowess in this event and clearly, it was no different in the TYR Pro Swim Series 2024.

The American swimmer Lilly King has made her country proud almost every time she jumps into the water to perform in the breaststroke events. She shined bright at the 2016 US Olympic trails in Omaha where she clinched gold in the 100m and 200m breaststroke. 

She waved America’s flag high at the 2017 World Championships as well. Similarly, at the 2019 World Championships, she defended that crown, added the 50m world title, and helped Team USA break the 4x100m medley relay World Record.

Following her winning spree, King continued her incredible performance in the breaststroke events. And falunted the same at Knoxville in the TYR Pro Swim Series 2024.
