“His kick is absolutely insane,” chuckled Phelps. He also spoke about how Boomer was developing a knack for being around water. “He always wants to be in the pool, he wants to be playing with the ball or riding around the car…” said Michael. It was quite wholesome to see a father’s legacy shaping up right next to him.
He also added, “so the other day we are out there and he has his little swimmers on and he started doing the butterfly motion and then he pointed back and forth and told me to start swimming… so he gets it”

Phelps further added how little Boomer was seen trying to cross his hands behind his back as his father demonstrated how to do it. “There’s an updated video where he actually does it, he locks his hands,” said the all-time record holder for Olympic gold medals.
Currently, Boomer Phelps has an Instagram follower count of over 529K. His feed is filled with pictures of him having a gala time with his family. Would Michael ever return to competitive swimming if his sons want him to do it?
