He has just posted on social media, offering advice based on his extensive experience to his legions of devoted followers. It was impressive how he carried out and concluded his act. Competing against other swimming superstars his age, this 29-year-old has emerged victorious.

Handful tips from the Aussie star on the water sport

Cameron McEvoy won the World Aquatics Championship 2023 in Fukuoka, Japan, on July 25. He performed ferociously in the sprint event, leaving his competitors way behind him. He hit the wall in a time of 21.06 seconds, which pushed him to the rank of the fourth-fastest swimmer in history. However, lately, Swim Nerds posted a video of McEvoy on their Twitter account that gained traction quickly.

In the video, McEvoy is seen talking about the 50-meter freestyle. He is sharing tips with his fans that he follows personally. The first advice that he gave to the swimmers out there was to sprint as often as possible. He suggested that repeating is the key to attaining perfection. McEvoy also stated, “Do your 25’s, do your 35’s, do all that 50’s, just repeat.”?He further shared his insights, saying, “Get stronger within” which is another primary key to success in swimming.

He also has some other effective tips. The 29-year-old stated, “Get a Finis Parachute, put the red one on. You do a 35 push, 35 with a red parachute is pretty much the exact same amount of time you are doing a 50 free for.” The way he is advising his fans with utmost sincerity shows his personality and his knowledge when it comes to swimming.

His feelings about being one of the fastest in swimming

He finished perfectly in the World Aquatics Championships 2023 by staying ahead of American Jack Alexy (21.57s). And the other competitor was Ben Proud, who finished at 21.58 seconds. Cameron McEvoy also qualified for the finals as the fastest swimmer in the splash-and-dash events, covering 21.25 seconds. And with this, he became the ninth-best competitor in the world.

McEvoy took a break from the pool in 2002, and besides this gold and silver in the 100-meter freestyle, he has won multiple other medals. He expressed his excitement about the win, saying, “I was just trying to dive and not think of anything but now I need some time to process it.” He further added, “It has been a long time coming. I am just very happy to have the privilege to swim and feel like that in the water on such a gigantic stage.
