With 2024 nearing, the entire swimming community is now gearing up for the Paris Olympics. With so many swimming prodigies in the community, almost all of them dream of being at the Olympics and so is a Palm Beach County swimmer, Anna Auld. She is a budding swimmer and currently she swims for the University of Florida. She has been constantly working on herself to chase the ultimate dream of the Olympics. Interestingly, her journey did not follow a usual path.

Anna Auld has recently opened up about this swimming saga of hers. It is indeed an enchanting journey of discovering one’s true passion and going all out to make it a winning move. Let’s take a look.

From playground to Olympic swimming dream

Anna Auld is a Forest Hill High School graduate and is currently swimming for the University of Florida. A budding swimmer with immense passion and staunch skills, it has not been swimming all along for Auld. Making a name in swimming wasn’t her plan. It happened organically. She recently spoke about how she shifted from other sports to swimming and now is in love with the waters

 According to WPTV, she expressed, “I started out with soccer and then gymnastics”. She further added, “But then my older sister got me into swimming when I was younger. Ever since then, it’s always been a huge passion of mine”. She has represented Team USA once in the World Championships in 2022. However, her eyes are set on the Olympics. She and her coach both have expressed their faith that she can make it to the big stage.

Anna Auld and her coach open up about the future

When the Olympic topic was brought up for Anna Auld, her coach, Quinn Cassidy showcased a great amount of faith in her. He confessed that she believes that Auld has the element in her to make it to the Olympic team. Cassidy said, “Definitely could make the Olympic team because of her work ethic in the pool”. He further added, “She is an absolute workhorse in the pool, and she is willing to do whatever it takes in her training”.

Not just Cassidy, even Auld, expressed herself about her own Olympic dream. She stated, “Ever since I was younger, I think I’ve always had that dream of going to the Olympics trails”. It is a very special event for her. She knows the value of getting into the USA team and is working her best for it.
