Three days ago, the 24-year-old swimmer shared a captivating video on his Instagram in which he penned down a note before his big outing in the Greek event. In the video, he was seen diving in the pool and captioned it, “Good to be back in Athens, home of the first modern Olympics (1896)! A few days to recoup before round 2 of the world aquatics World Cup series.” In the same caption of the video, the Minnesota-based swimmer also revealed that it was the same place where he dived for the first time in May after getting inked.

Now, the Olympic swimmer will aim to capitalize on it during the upcoming second leg of the Swimming World Cup starting today. He will have that extra responsibility on him as he competed in five finals, ultimately finishing fourth. He secured victory in two events: the 50-back and the 100-fly. This also helped him take home the prize money of $6,000 after scoring 54.5 points. He was the top-ranked American swimmer in the first leg and will enter the second leg with the same confidence, as he will be joined by several other new American athletes for this event.
