One of the world?s distinguished swimmers, Michael Phelps, is a hard-core NFL fan. Time and again, he has expressed his love for the sport. More than the sport, he has an undying love for his favorite team, Baltimore Ravens. Being a Baltimore native himself, Michael has always nurtured a soft corner for it. One such anecdote dates back to 2013 when he surprised the Ravens in the locker room on a Sunday.

Michael Phelps is one of the most decorated Olympic swimmers, with 28 Olympic medals. He also holds the highest record for gold medals in the Olympics and individual events. Phelps has also earned the World Swimmer of the Year Award eight times and the American Swimmer of the Year Award eleven times,

How did Michael Phelps feel about Baltimore Ravens?

Baltimore Ravens are a professional American football team that represents Baltimore. The team competes in the National Football League (NFL) as a North division member club of the American Football Conference (AFC). It has two Super Bowl titles and two AFC Championship titles (2000 and 2012).

In 2013, when the Ravens had recently won the AFC Championship. Phelps surprised his favorite team by praising them for their recent achievements. He told Baltimore Ravens:

“It’s a very emotional thing for me to watch these guys really come together and play amazing,”

He also added;

“I think it’s just cool for the city of Baltimore. I know how the fans are with their sports with every team, and just being able to come here. After seeing the support out there on the field, it’s unbelievable. Everybody just went crazy. It’s amazing.”

Michael Phelps has been great friends with Ravens players like Ray Lewis, Joe Flacco, Ray Rice, and Terrell Suggs. He congratulated them on scoring a 28-13 upset over the New England Patriots. He then also discussed the strategy for the upcoming Super Bowl at that time.

Phelps is a great friend of Lewis. He talked about the significant role Rice played in his career and pushed him to appear in his last Olympics in 2012 with re-fueled competitiveness. The Olympic gold medalist also explained that he wishes to add the same value to his dear friend?s career.

Phelps does not want his kids to chase swimming.

Phelps has lived a successful swimming career. Although he started swimming at a young age, he was never forced to do it. It was Phelps?s will to chase swimming as a profession.

However, the swimming legend does not want his kids to forcefully take swimming as a profession. He will never insist his kids do it.
