While the preparations for the event have already started, athletes are also sweating it out in the gyms to give it their best.

In a similar vein, Nic Fink, the representative of the US dreams at the competition, has captured the public’s interest. The 30-year-old swimmer, who clinched a significant victory at the US trials in August, has left fans in awe with a recent social media post, drawing comparisons to former Mr. Olympia Ronnie Coleman.

On Monday, Nic Fink posted a video of himself on Instagram in which the Olympian is seen lifting weights with Busy Earnin’ by Jungle playing in the background. Fink captioned the post with a touch of humor, which read, “I was told that sometimes weightroom PRs are like grandkids. Even if they are ugly, you still love ’em. Notice: I immediately look for a place to sit down.” It appears that the New Jersey native is gearing up for a strong European presence, as evident from this video. The world’s attention will be fixed on Nic Fink-led team USA.

In the prior year, the intense competition for the men’s overall title saw Carter and Fink separated by just 0.3 points, highlighting their exceptional talent and competitiveness. During the US trials, the American swimming prodigy once again claimed the top spot on the podium, securing the 50m breaststroke triumph with an impressive time of 26.74 seconds, winning by a mere 13 hundredths of a second. Prior to his performance in the World Cup, he has also amassed love and support from the fans as evident from the comments on the video.

His captivating Instagram video has garnered over 4.9k views and more than 700 likes, with fans going gaga over his dedication. Chris Richardson, who hails from Louisiana and is a swimmer by profession, took a dig at his counterpart and wrote, “Nice beginning lift! You should’ve left the rest of the video where I cleaned it right after.” Brazilian swimmer Joao Victor Caballero drew the comparison with American legend Ronnie Coleman and commented, “LIGHTWEIGHT BABYY, the bodybuilder’s favorite catchphrase.

The backstroke specialist Jacob Pebley also humorously wrote, “You picked it up and put it down!” There were other comments like “you‘re back” and “Yeahhhhh buddy! LIGHTWEIGHT!!” These comments are a testament to what Nic Fink has earned in the past few years. From fellow swimmers to fans, everyone is impressed with his new workout session.
