The Florida All-Stars meet that took place in Fort Pierce last month brought together some of the top swimmers in the state of Florida, who competed against each other in a series of races. While the event was undoubtedly exciting for the participants and spectators, the swimming world witnessed an extraordinary feat by 11-year-old Penelope Lopez-Casula.

The young swimmer from Miami, Florida, has set two nation-leading times at the Florida All-Stars meet. The exceptional performance has grabbed global attention.

Penelope Lopez-Casula, an 11-year-old swimmer, has made waves at Florida as her performance was nothing short of outstanding. Lopez-Casula competed in various events in the freestyle and backstroke categories. In both races, she posted times that were faster than any other swimmer in the country in her age group.

According to SwimSwam, in the 50-yard freestyle, Lopez-Casula finished with a time of 23.61 seconds, beating the previous national record. In the 100-yard freestyle, she finished with a time of 51.84 seconds, beating the previous record of her age group. With these numbers, she now stands at 23rd number in the all-time fastest list in the 100 freestyle category.

Apart from sprint freestyle events, she also recorded personal best times in the 50 fly clinching the time of 26.46 seconds and 200 IM with a time record of 2:15.86. The final two events in which Lopez-Casula won were the 100m backstrokes and the 200m freestyle, where she came quite close to her personal best timings from the Florida Gold Coast Age Group Championships earlier in the month.

Lopez-Casula’s impressive performances at the Florida All-Stars meet have made her one of the top young swimmers to watch in the country. Her times are not only faster than any other swimmer in her age group, but they are also faster than many older swimmers.
