Along similar lines, Michael Phelps showed his support for Lindsey Vonn during her tough times, as the Olympic alpine skier had to undergo her 10th knee surgery IN July to fix her LLC.  The swimming legend posted a story on Instagram to help motivate the Alpine skier.

Michael Phelps motivates Lindsey Vonn on Instagram

Recently, swimming Icon Michael Phelps posted an Instagram story to motivate alpine skiing legend Lindsey Vonn. The athlete had reposted a four-time Olympic gold medalist Swimmer, Allison Schmidt’s, story video with the caption “Look at the drip” while tagging Lindsey Vonn. In the video captioned “Michael Phelps, you inspired me to keep pushing when I felt the sweat… all for a #chindrip,” the swimmer Allison Schmidt’s face was seen covered in sweat after most likely doing a high-intensity workout.

This motivational story came only a few weeks after Lindsey Vonn had her 10th surgery. The skier, who had to go through many painful surgeries after her career-ending knee injuries, went under the knife again to repair her LCL. The athlete posted the news on Instagram with the caption, “So… I Had another knee surgery, and it went well.” And apart from Michael Phelps, many other sports icons have shown their support for Vonn during these tough times.

Lindsey Vonn is supported by the sports community

Lindsey Vonn, who has dominated the mountain slopes for years, has seen many physical challenges in her life. And amid her recent tough times, the athlete is supported by many icons of the sports community. Recently, Chris Evert, the tennis player who has 18 major single titles under her name, also tweeted in support of the skier. As the 68-year-old tennis player wrote, “Another Surgery? You are the TOUGHEST, most Resilient woman athlete, like ever.
