When it comes to swimming, nobody questions the legendary Michael Phelps. In the year 2008, Phelps aced the Beijing Olympics. But there was something else that challenged him more. Despite being the most decorated Olympian, Phelps considered acting more challenging. The acting was even more difficult than his beloved sport of swimming. He revealed it while acting in a spoof version of a popular show.

Michael Phelps hails from Baltimore, Maryland. He grew up with his mother after his parents’ divorce. Phelps got serious about the sport after joining the North Baltimore Aquatic Club, and the rest is history. He has a total of 28 Olympic medals, out of which 23 are gold medals.

Acting is harder than swimming according to Michael Phelps

As strange as it sounds,?Michael Phelps?found acting more difficult than swimming. The most decorated Olympian was surprised to learn that acting required so many skills.

“It’s much harder than it is to swim, that is for sure,”?Phelps?said?while talking to ABC’s pre-Emmy Awards special Jimmy Kimmel’s Big Night of Stars. Nobody would have thought that the swimming champion would find it hard on the big screen.

Phelps talked about how acting in a spoof version of Grey’s Anatomy was much harder than he imagined. He was taken aback by the challenge, but Phelps didn’t just stop there.

Phelps has kept practicing his acting skills since then, as he became a very popular Olympian after the Beijing 2008 Olympics.
