Swimming GOAT Michael Phelps has never been known as someone who likes to restrict himself. He may have retired from professional swimming, but that does not confine him from enjoying other sports. The Olympic gold medalist is often spotted at the golf course enjoying himself.

Not just he plays the sport himself, but he also keeps himself updated with the various golfing tournaments and events. Earlier today, Michael Phelps took to his Instagram stories to congratulate golfer Tony Finau for his third title.

Phelps extended his wishes for Tony as he secured his winner’s title in the 2022 Houston Open after a first-round 65. The win was Tony’s third title in a calendar year and the first in the 2022-2023 season. Sharing Tony’s picture, the ‘Baltimore Express’ wrote, Congrats, bro.”

For the unversed, Tony won the 2022 Rocket Mortage Classic at the Detroit Golf Club. Like Michael, Tony, too, is a family man. Post his ‘Rocket Mortgage Classic’ win; he dedicated the trophy to?his family. He also extended his gratitude for being with him through thick and thin.

Since 2014 Tony has been on the PGA Tour. He secured his first victory in 2016. However, he could not win a single title for the next five years. It was only in 2021 that he broke his drought spell by winning the Northern Trust. Since then, Tony has had a good game. Securing one win after the other, it’s getting difficult for the competitors to stop Tony from holding the trophy.

Michael may not be a professional golfer, but doubting his golfing skills would be a huge mistake. The ace swimmer is well-versed in the sport and is often spotted at the golfing field. The legend’s skills were tested when he hit a 159ft put during the 2012 Alfred Dunhill Links Championship.

Recently, Phelps participated in the converted ICON series. He displayed his golfing skills alongside legends like Canelo Alvarez, Michael Strahan, Pep Guardiola, Ash Barty, Harry Kane, and Ben Roethlisberger.
