“Look Who Was My Teacher”: Unearthed Video Shows David Beckham Getting Surfing Lessons From Son, Brooklyn

David Beckham retired from soccer quite a while back, though he has always shown a zest for learning new things. People saw this when Beckham posted a video indicating he was learning to surf. Surprisingly, the video showed a young teacher who shared a close relationship with Beckham.

The soccer athlete posted the video in 2016 on his Instagram account. At that time, Beckham was more than 30 years old. Beckham’s revelation also explains why he was able to surf well on a family vacation in Malibu.

In a video posted on Instagram, Beckham mentioned that his elder son, Brooklyn, was his teacher. The video depicts Brooklyn holding a long rope and surfing effortlessly ahead. The caption of the post was ‘Look who was my teacher @brooklynbeckham.’ ’This implies that Beckham is holding the other end of the rope from behind. Brooklyn helps Beckham stabilize his movements.

Earlier, Beckham had also posted another Instagram video where he was surfing. The post is captioned ‘Fun in the Sun.’ It shows Beckham trying to balance himself in the water.

Along with learning surfing from his son, Beckham has also done an ad for Pepsi where he surfs. The ad shows Beckham surfing and hitting the ball accurately despite being in the water, reflecting his dedication to trying his best at new things.

This ad also featured Thierry Henry, Roberto Carlos, Ronaldinho, Raúl, Van der Vaart, and Fernando Torres. This  commercial was released in 2005.

Once, when Beckham was surfing during a vacation with his wife and four kids, two men watched Beckham surf in the waves. Noticing their gaze, Beckham couldn’t help glancing at them. However, the two men didn’t do anything serious, though Beckham was prepared for it. As per sources, the soccer player had hired an experienced security person who also carried a loaded weapon, who was near them. A man of many talents, Beckham also clicked many photographs while on the beach.
