Surfing has always been a very entertaining sport. The thrill of speed, the fierce flash of waves, the excitement of the rising water- all of it makes for an engaging event. Professional surfers have escalated the popularity of the sport among surfing fans. Surfing stars like Jamie O’Brien, Shane Dorian, Lakey Peterson, and Mason Ho have created a huge fan base. Imagine what a collaboration of these stars would feel like for viewers! 

Well, not simply a figment of our imaginations anymore. The famous GoPro Facebook page recently posted a video flaunting the clarity of their equipment even in water. However, here’s the cherry on top – it featured some of our favorite Youtube surfing sensations.

Famous surfing vloggers come together in a single pool 

It was a dream come true for all surfing fans as the stars of the sport came together and hit the surfing ranch. The Waco surfing zone became the host of the iconic moment where Hamie O’Brien, Lakey Peterson, Mason Ho, and Shane Dorian showcased their amazing skills on the water. The video featured a special guest, famous American Youtuber, Casey Neistat. 

The stars began with trying technical skills like a double barrel. They could be seen passing the camera in between the waves. “The boys are ripping” described Lakey Peterson as she entered the pool herself.

The surfers had a GoPro attached to their boards and captured various candid moments. The excitement on their faces on catching the waves, the shine in their eyes after the splash, the laughter after slipping down the easy one- the camera caught all the priceless emotions for fans. The breathtaking stunts had the ability to make the audience jump out of their seats. 

The rise of surfer vlogging

The popularity of surfing has increased drastically after the pandemic. Surfing has seen a shift from a male-dominated arena, to a family-friendly sport. And those who couldn’t get to physically feel the splash used Youtube for their mental peace.

Subsequently, the popularity of Youtube surfers expanded further to the common household. Pro surfer turned video star Jamie O’Brien has emerged as one of the best surfing vloggers on YouTube. Lakey Peterson and Mason Ho are also examples of surfers who received global fame and recognition through this online medium. With ever-increasing numbers of Youtube vloggers, there’s a strong hope of getting global professional superstars in the upcoming years under the fold as well.
